S”NO”W Problem! Lumber Trees Protect Quality and Save Time

Yarmouth_LumberTrees_SNOWHancock Lumber takes protecting the quality of its building materials seriously!  Over the last few years, we’ve invested in lumber trees at the stores previously lacking undercover storage.  While the primary focus is to protect the quality of the product in our yards, we’ve found many other benefits!  Lumber trees protect quality and save time! We discovered a huge time and efficiency gain for our employees during the winter months, especially following this past week’s visit from Juno!

In the past, this size blizzard has taken our crews an entire day to clean up and clear the yard. In Yarmouth, where our lumber tree system was implemented two years ago, clean up was complete by 9:30am the day after the storm. The lumberyard was up and running in record time, with customer service a top priority, as always!
